travel rock bariloche Date Night on the Road

While traveling on our summer trip and while visiting Yoly's mom in Calistoga, CA., I took Yoly out to dinner and a chance to see one of my favorite Ska bands from the 1970s, The English Beat. The concert was held at the Olde Opera House in downtown Napa and was the same place we got to see Leo Kottke two years prior. We eagerly anticipated eating dinner at our favorite place in Napa to get falafels since they're extremely hard to find in the south where we live, but had to settle for our second favorite, sushi. In any case, we had awesome seats and the concert rocked the joint !! It was just like being back in the 70s again .... It can be fun dating your wife :-) The only downside was the fact that all video and photography was banned and strictly enforced so we have nothing to remind us of our great experience other than what's in the video. Kinda a shame actually, I don't understand why the band wouldn't like a little free publicity ... I doubt it would have affected their record sales at all in a negative way. Oh well, their call :-)
